Some diners have taken note of the average frozen fries, which are standard but don’t stand out compared to the other dishes. Occasionally, long wait times can occur during peak hours, especially on busy Saturdays when the restaurant reaches full capacity.
A few reviews mention the presence of MSG in certain dishes, which can be a concern for those sensitive to it. Additionally, while the environment is casual, it might not appeal to diners looking for a more upscale dining experience. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience remains positive for most guests.
I always come here for a treat when I go out to Miramar. Tasty, crispy, fast service and you get what you order with no frills. Perfect!
IG: 2Fish1Chip Ventured out south east to Miramar to try out Joe’s Cook on this fine sunny Sunday. Order: Fish and Chips, Sausage and Corn fritter. Cost: $20.71 The fish was Warehou with a solid crunchy coating. The size was very generous and steaky to the bite. Fresh and delicious! The corn fritter was also massive helped by a volumous batter that didn’t detract from the deliciousness within. Another tick on this one. The chips where your finest frozen digits but we’re cooked well and to the standard a good Chinese just knows how to. Portion was of a good size. Overall great ingredients prepped well, cooked to perfection and presented appetisingly. Cost wise, I thought it was okay for a big portion that could feed two people. Love ya work Joe!
